How to choose a suitable pressure transducer?
If you need a pressure transducer for your project, you should compare the features of different models before making a decision. Here are some of the main differences between the XTC, VTC and STC series:
- The XTC series is a durable option that can withstand temperatures as low as -40º C. However, it has a ceramic element that can break if exposed to sudden pressure spikes, so it is not recommended for applications that involve such risks.
- The VTC series also uses a ceramic element, but it has a special mechanism that protects it from shattering in case of pressure spikes. It can also operate at temperatures as low as -40º C.
- The STC series has a silicon piezo chip element that is more resilient to pressure spikes and other harsh conditions. However, it can only tolerate temperatures up to -20º C, so it is not suitable for very cold environments.
